Calling all Waterloo Region youth!

See a problem? Any problem. Big or small. Your effort towards solving it could change the world, solve a personal problem or simply satisfy your curiosity. We don't care. What we care about is giving you the chance to apply your creativity towards solving whatever problem you choose. We're here to help (thanks to the donations of people who are cheering you on).

It’s totally cool if you don’t know what you want to do yet, or don’t quite have an idea—we’re here to help you too. You’ll be ready soon to exercise your creativity!

Who can apply?

Are you a Waterloo Region student in grades 5 to 12? This is for you! Get up to $500 to work on your own idea. Groups of 2 or more youth can get up to $1000.

Step 1: What’s your idea?!

Have a cool or even weird new idea that you want to bring to life? Something that could change the way our society works, or even just something you’re passionate about? We want to hear it! No worries if you’re havin’ a brain fart—check out these Create30 Activities to help get those creative juices a-flowin’. And remember: there’s no such thing as a bad idea.

Step 2: Apply!

Tell us about your idea and how you’ll make it happen. We review all applications at the end of each month. Our goal is to say yes to all ideas that meet our criteria!

Youth Creativity Fund applications are now closed for the summer. Keep an eye on our social media @bep_wr for news on when applications will open again.
