What we care about is giving you the chance to apply your creativity towards solving whatever problem you choose. We're here to help (thanks to the donations of people who are cheering you on).
It’s totally cool if you don’t know what you want to do yet, or don’t quite have an idea—we’re here to help you too. You’ll be ready soon to exercise your creativity!

Who can apply?
Are you a Waterloo Region student in grades 5 to 12? This is for you! Get up to $500 to work on your own idea. Groups of 2 or more youth can get up to $1000.

Let’s. Get. CREATIVE.
Step 1: What’s your idea?!
Have a cool or even weird new idea that you want to bring to life? Something that could change the way our society works, or even just something you’re passionate about? We want to hear it! No worries if you’re havin’ a brain fart—check out these Create30 Activities to help get those creative juices a-flowin’. And remember: there’s no such thing as a bad idea.
Step 2: Apply!
Tell us about your idea and how you’ll make it happen. We review all applications at the end of each month. Our goal is to say yes to all ideas that meet our criteria!
At this time we are not able to guarantee a start date for the Youth Creativity Fund this fall. We are still awaiting funding confirmation but are hopeful that we will be able to reopen the program in the new year. Continue to follow us on socials and subscribe to our newsletter for the latest updates on the program.
